On the evening of 12 October 2002, a suicide bomber entered Paddy's Pub in Kuta. A larger vehicle bomb then exploded outside the nearby Sari Club. [1]

Two hundred and two people from more than twenty countries were killed. Indonesian courts convicted members of Jemaah Islamiyah for planning and carrying out the attacks. [2]
